Therapy & Counselling
Mental health affects all of us no matter how we appear on the outside. LifeFlow can help you feel good from within.
Mental Health is essential, just as important as physical and financial health to lead an enjoyable and successful life. It is critical to be able to make the right decisions and take actions in all other areas of life (relationships, work, free time, finances, family, etc.) Stress is a normal part of life- it can even be positive because it keeps us going. But if stress occurs for too long and on a high level, it causes harm to our body and mind. And it blocks our ability to think correctly and to make the right decisions about how to move on.
Stress is the core factor of all Mental Health and Addiction problems.
Every person reacts differently to increased pressure: some feel it more in the body and get stomach aches, headaches or pain in the back. But many people also experience changed emotional levels: fear, anger, sadness. If those emotions are overwhelming, they can result in psychological problems like anxiety, depression, or maladaptive behaviour to cope with those negative emotions (impulsive or addictive behaviour).
One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Around 450 million people currently suffer from such conditions, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of ill-health and disability worldwide.
(WHO World Health Report, Geneva 4 Oct 2014).
So, if you are experiencing high levels of stress in any area of life, mental health problems or if you are struggling with addiction, you are not alone. If you are feeling stuck, reach out to a Mental Health Professional as they can help you to recover and regain your mental strength and resilience.
